The hole started out small with accusations of steroid use coming from a few “I’ll-do-anything-for-a-buck” guys, Jose Canseco and injector-trainer Brian McNamee, but expect that hole to be 6-feet deep when this fiasco is over.

Is Detroit Lions’ coach Rod Marinelli finally losing it? How much can we expect one man to take. We’ve heard of train wrecks but Marinelli’s Lions are a train derailment.
Marinelli’s inarticulate rant at a recent press conference sounded more like a monologue out of “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”.

Steve Spurrier and his #25 S.C. Gamecocks got taken to school and had their asses handed to them by the #4 Florida Gators at the Swamp in Gainesville, 56-6.
Spurrier got some of his own medicine regarding running up scores on feeble opponents. In 1995 Spurrier and his Gators demolished these same ‘Cocks 63-7.

MOSCOW – Regarding Alexei Cherepanov’s death, Russian officials originally reported that the arena medical defibrillator was faulty and it took an excessive amount of time for emergency personnel to respond to the incident.
Those accusations have changed over a course of time and the prosecutor in the case is keeping the criminal investigation open.

Even though there is no picture of Michael Vick on the wine bottle, the clever use of his name in the brand name of the wine while attached to images of the dogs makes it plain that Vick is being used to sell the product.
If that’s true, despite his criminal record, he is entitled to lend his name for profit to companies that market goods and services. That means he should be paid.

Over the years many owners have brought up discussions and votes have occurred to move this game around the league to share the revenue. Somehow William Clay Ford continues to keep the game in his hometown of Detroit.
You have to wonder if the fact Ford Motor Company is one of the NFL’s biggest and most loyal advertisers has anything to do with this joke of an organization keeping this game.

ATLANTA – Evander Holyfield will fight the WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev on December 20th in Zurich, Switzerland with contracts expected to be signed by the end of the week.
For those of you who are not familiar with Valuev, he is a monster. A 7ft. 330 lb. giant and he throws haymakers.

Los Angeles – Manny Ramirez’s agent, Scott Boras has made it clear that the Dodgers’ offer (he still won’t confirm the details) wasn’t sufficient. The length of the proposed contract is too short for Boras’ taste.
