This may be one of Don Cherry's favorite fights–he showed it in it's entirety on a replay the following week on Hockey Night in Canada. Whenever McSorley and Probert were on opposing benches, you could mark your calendar for another classic brawl.

ATLANTA, Ga. – Last year while playing in front of friends and family at Turner Field in his home state, Micah Owings had a record-breaking night at the plate going 4 for 5 with 2 home runs, 6 RBI's and 4 runs scored while earning the win against the Atlanta Braves. His 11 total bases for a pitcher is a feat that had not been accomplished in nearly 50 years. Those are numbers A Rod would call home about.

Two Montreal Canadiens spent last night behind bars after getting cuffed and taken into a Tampa area police station and booked for grand theft and resisting an officer without violence. The arrests occurred outside a drinking joint called Whiskey Park at 3 a.m. when most of us on EST were long into REM stages of sleep.

After producing stat sheets overflowing with numbers, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees walked away with the Associated Press 2008 NFL Offensive Player of the Year award. Brees was only the second QB in the history of the NFL to pass over 5,000 yards in a season when he finished with 5,069 just 15 shy of Dan Marino's record of 5,084, a record that is nearly a quarter of a century old.
