ABC hires Millen for Michigan game, FAIL!

Like many Michiganders this Saturday has been long awaited.  The weather is expected to hover around 70 degrees with sunshine beating down on the Big House where the Michigan Wolverines are hosting the Michigan State Spartans in a bitter rival game.

So with two great NCAAF teams battling it out in one of College Football’s greatest stadiums, what could possibly dampen such a great event?

ABC hiring Matt Millen to do the color commentary on the game.

ABC obviously has zero understanding how much sport fans in Michigan despise Matt Millen’s voice and opinion on anything that deals with football.

How can his opinion have any credibility about any issues that deals with player talent, development, or even with coaching after his Detroit Lions posted a 31-84 record under his regime. That record happens to be the worst eight-year record in the history of the modern day NFL.

Despite the team’s record on the field, Matt Millen was the second-highest paid general manager in the NFL and actually received an extension during the implosion.

Here is some first round talent that Millen assessed would be can’t miss pros: Jeff Backus, Charles Rodgers (arrested, failed drug tests, out of league), Mike Williams (another WR bust), and franchise quarterback Joey Harrington (no description necessary).

‘Nuf said. We don’t even care if he made an ass of himself for calling fellow analyst Ron Jaworski a “Pollack”. Matt Millen is a dick who should be doing commentary on a rivalry like Idaho vs. Idaho State, if even that.

Involving him in a classic rival matchup between two good programs in a state that finds him repudiate is a blunder ABC shouldn’t have made.
