The Who Announced For Super Bowl Halftime Show

MIAMI – The NFL announced The Who, one of the world’s most famous rock bands, will be performing in the Bridgestone Super Bridgestone Logo Bowl XLIV halftime show at Dolphin Stadium in South Florida on Sunday, February 7.Peter Townshend and Roger Daltrey, the remaining living original band members will lead the show. Original drummer Keith Moon died in 1978 and bass player John Entwistle passed in 2002.

More than 151 million viewers in the U.S. watched Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band perform during last year’s halftime and Springsteen delivered; showing the world he’s still “The Boss”.

This year’s show is expected to be broadcast worldwide in more than 230 countries and territories.

Besides Springsteen and The Who, several other superstars have played at Super Bowl events including Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Prince, the Rolling Stones, and Paul McCartney.
