Carroll shows bitterness at Sanchez press conference

LOS ANGELES – USC Trojans’ quarterback Mark Sanchez has made the decision to leave Southern California and enter the NFL Draft. Normally people close to these athletes line up and pat them on the back, wish them well in their challenging journey, the ticker-tape parade ensues and the player rides off into the sunset.

That is, unless you have a selfish coach who’s team failed to win the national championship he was predicted to win at the start of the season.

NCAA Slugfest #1 Texas hosts #7 Oklahoma St

The No. 1 Texas Longhorns are coming off back-to-back victories against then-No. 1 Oklahoma and No. 11 Missouri while scoring a total of 101 combined points. They were rewarded for their performance; becoming the first team since the 2006 Ohio State Buckeyes to receive all 65 votes from the media and becoming a unanimous No. 1choice in the AP poll.

NCAA May Nail FSU For Cheating

TALLAHASSEE – Florida State University will be anxiously awaiting an upcoming NCAA hearing on October 18. At that meeting, NCAA officials will be discussing the cheating scandals that have rocked the university and put another ding in their athletic program.

The good news is, this time the rap isn’t an athlete raping or getting busted with weapons and drugs. This bad news is, the scandal involved university personnel; more like a corrupt white-collar offense; and higher-ups must surely have known about it.

The Beauty of NCAA Football

How about some serious love for those pesky Oregon State Beavers and their 5 ft. 6 in. freshman hoss-of- a-halfback Jacquizz Rodgers. Rodgers was a workhorse and ran the ball 37 times for 186 yards and two TD’s.

Props to the offensive line of the Beavers too . . . they looked awesome pushing around and out-manning Petey Carroll’s so-called “best defense he has ever had at USC”.
