Never has dealing out a Bitch-Slap-of-the-Week been as easy as this week’s backhander that is heading in the direction of Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Shaun Rogers. Days ago, Rogers was held at the Hopkins Airport near Cleveland then arrested after attempting to carry a concealed loaded firearm through airport security.

MIAMI, Fla. – NBA Miami Heat player Carlos Arroyo was arrested and accused of being confrontational. By the looks of his mugshot that reveals a bunch of nicks and scathes, it may have been the cops who were a little overzealous.

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Former Tampa Bay Buccaneer star Warren Sapp was busted in Miami Beach and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery after police responded to an incident at the Shores Club Hotel.

PORTLAND – Portland Blazers center Greg Oden has stepped up to the mic and apologized, admitting the nude photos circulating the internet are of him and were taken 1 1/2 years ago with his cell phone and sent to a former girlfriend.

WASHINGTON – Washington Wizards player Gilbert Arenas pleaded guilty Friday for carrying a pistol without a license in D.C. That charge is a felony and the player awaits to see what effect the felony conviction will have on his personal life and NBA career.

ATLANTA – Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux was arrested by Gwinnett County police on charges of marijuana possession with intent to distribute. This was not the first time the player has been arrested in Gwinnett County.

Random House has cancelled the publication of ex-NBA referee and convict Tim Donaghy’s book, “Blowing the Whistle.” The FBI investigation that rocked the NBA and sent Donaghy to prison found that he had acted alone yet Donaghy proclaims in his book that several referees were involved in side-betting before and during NBA contests.

NEW YORK – New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress was arrested and charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree after an incident in November 2008.
While going clubbing in the Latin Quarter in New York City, Burress’ concealed loaded firearm accidentally fired, sending a bullet into his leg.

CHICAGO – Kane who is listed to have earned $3.75 million last season is accused of assaulting Jan Radecki, a 62-year-old cabbie after a dispute over .20 cents. Radecki, “[the Kanes] broke my glasses, they ripped my clothes … all over 20 cents.”

American Patrick Kane one of the NHL superstars was booked and asked to cheese for a mugshot after he was arrested following an altercation in Buffalo on August 9th that left he and his cousin James Kane accused of assaulting 62-year-old cab driver, Jan Radecki.
