Dallas tells ESPN, Pacman cut due to new shooting allegations

DALLAS – When the Dallas Cowboys first cut their troubled defensive back Adam “Pacman” Jones yesterday, many people pacman_jones-mugshotassumed it was a response to his poor season. Upon further review it appears there is much more to this transaction.ESPN is set to air a show on “Inside the Lines” on Sunday that may create more woes for Pacman.

According to ESPN, “three Atlanta men allege that Pacman arranged for someone to shoot at them after an altercation in an Atlanta strip club two months after the player was suspended in 2007” and a “hail of bullets struck their car” shortly after they left that club.

ESPN’s Ed Werder who covers the Cowboy’s camp throughout the season was told by a team source that Pacman was indeed cut due to the investigation regarding that shooting.

Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones appears to be done stepping up to the plate for Pacman so he cut the troubled player.

Back in November, Jones went as far as taking partial blame for the suspension laid on Pacman when the DB got into a fight with a team-appointed security guards inside a hotel bathroom.

Once touted as one of the most talented backs to come into the NFL, Jones has spent years collecting mugshots and a number of suspensions imposed by the league.

If this story holds true, we may have seen the last of Pacman.
