VANCOUVER , B.C. – The surprise victory by the United States men’s hockey team over heavily favored Canada (5-3) has sent shock waves through the host country. In the U.S. there was euphoria where patriotism drove the ratings up past viewership for regular season as well as playoff games in the NHL (8.2 million viewers).
